Award-winning distance learning college Oxbridge are delighted to announce their sponsorship of this year’s Birmingham Awards, which recognises the ongoing contributions of individuals from across the Birmingham region.

The sponsorship is part of Oxbridge’s ongoing commitment to lifelong learning, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and the creation of opportunities that visibly impact community growth and drive the region’s economy forward.

Having received the ‘Small Business of the Year’ award at the Birmingham Awards in 2018, Oxbridge’s founder, Matt Jones, was proud to sponsor passionate up-and-coming stars in the ‘Young Achiever of the Year’ category, which acknowledges the achievers of tomorrow who have shown dedication and passion in their chosen endeavour.

The award celebrates those who possess the ideas, drive and determination to succeed in the long term, having overcome barriers to achieve their vision, whilst engaging in ongoing personal development during their pursuit.

We approached an enthusiastic Matt for a comment. He said: “The Birmingham Awards is a superb evening for like-minded individuals to come together and celebrate some of the region’s best and most exciting business talent.

“Oxbridge were sitting in these very seats last year with our fingers crossed. We know how it feels to be on the edge of your seat, but there’s no better feeling, especially when your name is called out for an award. If you’ve been shortlisted for an award, then you’ve already made an incredible impact to Birmingham you should be happy about.

“Everyone at Birmingham Awards are highly supportive, too. They understand the barriers individuals overcome to achieve success in today’s challenging climate, and all finalists should be proud of their achievement, you’re celebrating your success for a reason!

“Oxbridge will be at the event cheering this year’s thriving young achievers. We wish them all the best of luck’

A spokesperson for Birmingham Awards commented, “For lifelong learning in a flexible and innovative environment, there’s no better provider than Oxbridge. We’re looking forward to welcoming Matt as a judge and Oxbridge as a sponsor at this year’s ceremony, whose experience shall prove insightful for this year’s up-and-coming Young Achievers.’
