Continuing on from last year, Birmingham Awards will once again be highlighting the great work done by the people of the city.

With an extremely successful year for Birmingham, there is plenty to shout about and this is a unique opportunity to celebrate the culture, creativity and commerce of all industries and individuals.

This year’s esteemed ceremony is set to take place on September 10th 2016 at the new and vibrant Vox Conference Centre at Birmingham’s Resorts World. With last year’s ceremony recognising the achievements of individuals and organizations in a wide array of sectors, this year sees the addition of two new awards – namely the National Retailer Award and the Excellence in Media Award, making the upcoming ceremony truly representative of all that makes Brum bountiful.

The Birmingham Awards aim to highlight Birmingham’s reputation as a city of business and enterprise. This year there are 18 categories including sport, retail, industry and education. One individual will also be presented with the ‘Brummie of the Year’ award on the night.

Anita, Co-Founder of the Awards said, “The Birmingham Awards perfectly encapsulates the heart of this city and those remarkable people who make it so great.

“The event channels this ethos and has been created to recognise and reward those deserving individuals or organisations who have gone above and beyond to support Birmingham’s economic and cultural climate.”

The award categories selected are representative of various areas, which demonstrates the vibrant spirit of the city. Applications are open to all with entrants allowed to apply for more than one category.

As well as recognising the achievements of Birmingham, the Birmingham Awards will be raising money for LoveBrum, a charity which invests in grassroots projects across the city.
