Following last year’s success Birmingham Awards will once again be highlighting the great work done by the people of the city.

The prestigious black tie event took place at the Edgbaston Stadium and left audiences filled to the brim with appreciation for Brum. People came together in full force to join finalists, sponsors, ambassadors and judges in a night of levity and entertainment.

2016 has been an extremely successful year for Birmingham, there is plenty to shout about and this is a unique opportunity to celebrate the culture, creativity and commerce of all industries and individuals.

This year’s esteemed ceremony is set to take place on Saturday September 10th 2016 at the new and vibrant Vox Conference Centre at Birmingham’s Resorts World. Last year’s ceremony recognised the achievements of individuals and organizations in a wide array of sectors, this year sees the addition of two new awards – the National Retailer Award and the Excellence in Media Award, making the upcoming ceremony truly representative of all that makes Brum generous.

Nominations are now open for all categories, so to ensure your top picks get a chance, get nominating!

The deadline for nominations is: Sunday 31st July 2016.

The Birmingham Awards aim to highlight Birmingham’s reputation as a city of business and enterprise. This year there are 19 categories including sport, retail, industry and education. One individual will also walk away with ‘Brummie of the Year’ award on the night.

Another inspiring award that we’ve introduced will be ‘Innovation in Technology Award’.

Applications are open to all with entrants allowed to apply for more than one category.

Additionally, Birmingham Awards will be raising money for LoveBrum, a charity which invests in grassroots projects across the city.
