Equipped with a Brummie wit, a stature tall as the city’s BT Tower and a camera lens sharp as a spectator’s eye at Edgbaston Stadium, Jas Sansi, has been confirmed as the official photographer for the Birmingham Awards Dinner.

Having already taken the photographs for the event’s pre-party at Hotel La Tour, LoveBrum trustee and Birmingham Awards sponsor will be snapping guests at the now sold out spectacle.

Billed as one of the events of the year, the strictly black tie event will be held at Edgbaston Stadium on November 27th and will celebrate the best of Birmingham.

The event has become the talk of town with a host of leading businesses coming on-board. These include main sponsors Big John’s and supported by Edgbaston stadium, Irwin Mitchell, South and City College, Hollywood Monster, Grand Central, Birmingham City University and Henry Wong Harborne to name a few. Gem Magazine and Dluxe magazine have also been added as the event’s print media partners.

Glitz and glamour will be provided by a host of live performers including youngsters from the Aston Performing Arts. The event will conclude with an after party hosted by local DJ Dan Kelly.

The awards are the first of their kind to encompass different categories, celebrating everything from the best bars, restaurant and club to small businesses, the best individual business man and woman of the year, best independent retailer and best blogger.

Two special awards have been earmarked at the event, these being Brummie of the Year and a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

Anita Chumber, one of the founders of the awards said the event will be a night to remember. “We are overwhelmed at the response we have had with nominations and the support that we have received from businesses that have come on-board. An event which celebrates the achievements of the people of Birmingham, the night is building up as a huge success.”

As well as recognising their contribution, the Birmingham Awards will be raising money for LoveBrum, a charity which invests in grassroots.
