The launch party for Birmingham Awards Dinner 2016, in association with Birmingham City University, has left a buzz in the air with finalists, sponsors and supporters feeling the excitement in the run-up to the awards.
Held last night at Birmingham’s new High Line Bar at Resorts World, there was a fantastic atmosphere amongst guests, including finalists, nominees, judges and ambassadors. Co-host Raaj Shamji left the attendees wanting more with his witty personality. The invite-only event was a huge success, which set the tone for the anticipated awards. The awards show will take place on Saturday 10th of September at The Vox Conference Centre.
Billed as one of the biggest black-tie events of the year, the Birmingham Awards prides itself on celebrating everything Birmingham.
The awards have now become the talk of town with a host of leading businesses and institutions coming on-board. These include our headline sponsor Birmingham City University, along with other supporting sponsors South and City College, Hollywood Monster, Vision Print and Pathway Group.
Dluxe magazine and Swan Publishing have also been added as the event’s print media partners.
Glitz and glamour will be provided by a live band and entertainment from Britain’s Got Talent finalists Nemesis.
The awards have become bigger and better from last year with the introduction of new categories such as National Retailer of the Year, Excellence in Media Award and Excellence in Technology Award, encompassing all the elements that make Birmingham great.
Anita Chumber, one of the founders of the concept said the event will be a night to remember. “Birmingham Awards just keeps on growing greater than our expectations. The number of nominee applications this year has left us speechless, and the response from our sponsors and ambassadors has been phenomenal. We thank everyone who has been involved thus far, and we wish all the finalists the best of luck.”
Birmingham Awards passionately endorses the growth and momentous development of Birmingham. Like last year, we have teamed up with LoveBrum to help and support the projects and organisations that make Birmingham such an exciting place to be.
This year all the donations collected for LoveBrum will go to an initiative that receives the most votes on the night.
These initiatives are: Beechcraft Football, Baby Ava and Birmingham Centre for Arts. To find out more information about these initiatives please visit our website.
A big thank you also to all of our ambassadors, supporters and all the shortlisted nominees who attended the event.
