The black-tie event will start with a drinks reception at 6:30pm, with the awards ceremony and dinner to promptly begin at 7:30pm.

The two join a whole load of sponsors, which include main sponsors Big John’s and supported by a raft of high profile local businesses including Edgbaston stadium, Irwin Mitchell, South and City College, Hollywood Monster, Grand Central and Henry Wong Harborne to name a few. Gem Magazine and Dlux magazine has also been added as the event’s print media partners.

Emma Larkin Sales & Events Excutive at Hotel La Tour said:

“Hotel La Tour are proud and excited to sponsor the first Birmingham Awards 2015. We are very much looking forward to working with the team leading up to and after the main event. As a Birmingham Hotel, we can’t wait to meet the finalists and overall winners so that we can altogether shout about the great city that Birmingham is.”

Billed as one of the events of the year, tickets are now on sale for this fantastic celebration of the great and the good of Birmingham.

Glitz and glamour will be provided by a host of live performers including youngsters from the Aston Performing Arts. The event will conclude with an after party hosted by local DJ Dan Kelly.

The awards are the first of their kind to encompass lots of different categories celebrating everything from the best bars, restaurant and club to small businesses, the best individual business man and woman of the year, best independent retailer and best blogger.

Two special awards have been earmarked at the event, these being Brummie of the Year and a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

Anita Chumber, one of the founders of the concept said the Birmingham Awards aimed to show that everyone in the city was a winner and recognise those responsible for keeping the heart of the city beating.

She said they were also designed to mark the huge success of Birmingham in recent times and to celebrate the culture, creativity and commerce of all industries and individuals.

In all there are 18 categories including sport, retail, industry and education.

Anita added: “Tables of ten are now available priced at just £450 or individual tickets at £50 each. It promises to be a wonderful night and a great celebration of our city.”

As well as recognising the achievements of Birmingham, the Birmingham Awards will be raising money for LoveBrum, a charity which invests in grassroots projects across the city.
